NEW BICYCLES: All our new bikes come with a warranty which vary with each manufacturer (For Example DEMA & Pure Fix bikes come with lifetime frame and fork warranty with 1 year warranty on parts). All new bicycles come with one years free servicing (Up to 3 services in the first 12 months from date of purchase and only available at Preloved Bikes). This will be covered by manufacturers warranty or the customer depending on reason for replacement of part(s). The free 1 year servicing must be used in the first 12 months from date of purchase. We do not offer any alternative to the 1 years free servicing offer. ALL new bikes purchased from Preloved bikes should be returned for a free inspection within 4 and 8 weeks depending on usage ( This is free of charge for bicycles purchased from Preloved Bikes and does not effect the 1 years free servicing offer). Warranties do not cover wear and tear, misuse, neglect, competition, accident, vandalism, tampered with by unqualified persons etc. Please refer to your manufacturers warranty for full details. New bicycles purchased online may not be in stock at Preloved bikes premises and may take up to 10 working days to be delivered from our European supplier. In most cases deliveries arrive within 6 days. New bicycles bought online are shipped boxed and some assembly will be required. Assembly should carried out by an experienced bicycle mechanic.
USED BICYCLES: All Our used bikes are sold fully serviced unless otherwise stated. We do not offer any warranty with used bikes. However if there is any problem that arises with a used bike purchased from us within 30 days of purchase we will endeavor to resolve the issue without cost to the customer. If the bicycle has been in an accident, misused, neglected, vandalized, used in competition or altered by non Preloved Bikes staff the customer will be liable for the full cost of parts and labour. Where a free service is offered on a second hand bike it must be redeemed within 90 days of purchase date. On occasion we sell ‘repairable’ bikes. These bikes do not come with any warranty and should be repaired or deemed safe by a bicycle mechanic before use. Used bikes can be purchased online but must be collected from Preloved Bikes.
BICYCLE RECYCLING: We recycle any bike bike with 20 inch wheel and over. We reuse parts or complete bicycles where possible. Apart from parts or bicycles that we re-use we do not financially profit from bike recycling in any way so we ask that bikes be dropped into us. Where bicycles can not be dropped in to us we offer a collection service for Celbridge and surrounding areas. At times we can be inundated with bikes for recycling and have to limit the service.
GIFT VOUCHERS: Gift vouchers are available to purchase online or instore. Vouchers can be used in exchange for or part payment of ANY product or service offered by Preloved Bikes. No cash alternative. In the event there is change due to the bearer it will be given in voucher.
SAVERS CLUB: Our savers club runs all year round and there are no charges or interest. Every cent you pay to your savers account goes to the product, service or voucher you are saving against. Please see terms regarding the product or service you are ordering or pre-ordering.
RETURNS POLICY: Preloved Bikes only accept returns and/or exchanges on new, unused products with the original packaging. We do not accept returns on any item that has been used or original packaging removed unless proven to be faulty.
Preloved Bikes do not accept returns on special orders or parts, tools etc that have been used or installed. We will accept returns meeting manufacturers warranty criteria and replace faulty products.
BICYCLE ASSEMBLY – Bicycles purchased online and delivered by third party couriers will arrived boxed and will have some assembly required. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure bicycles are assembled correctly and safely. We recommend your local bicycle shop.
TRADE INS – Preloved Bikes welcome trade ins.Trade in values against new bicycles are determined individually. We give up to 20% trade in value against a second hand bike. Trade ins on used bikes is also determined individually. We do not take bikes under 18 inch wheel as trade ins. We do not buy bikes.
STOCK AVAILABILITY – The products shown on this website represent the stock available to Preloved Bikes from our suppliers and from time to time may not be in stock with either us or our suppliers. It is in no way a comprehensive list of all products available to us so please ask if what you are looking for is not listed. Full retail prices are shown and correct at time of listing but may vary over time.
DELIVERY & RETURNS INFORMATION – Delivery charges are listed while you are going through the ‘checkout’ process. For orders over €300 there is no delivery charge. We use a courier company that offers the best service and price at any given time. Delivery will not be arranged until products or services are paid in full. We do do not offer a cash on delivery service. A signature will be required on delivery. If there is an issue with your item such as faulty or incorrect item please contact us regarding free collection.
Bicycles, parts and accessories ordered online or in-store may take up to 10 working days to be delivered. Delivery times may vary (eg Christmas, bank holidays etc may take longer). For updates or approximate delivery time please email us quoting your order reference number.
BIKES FOR BERNARDOS – In the past year we have donated over 100 bikes to various Barnardos centres and other charities but the moment Barnardos do not require any bicycles from us. We welcome suggestions of local or national charities that we can donate bikes to.
REPAIRS – Our repairs carry a 30 day guarantee. Warranty on parts used in repairs are as per manufacture. Repairs are mostly charged per job but we do have fixed prices for some repairs. In the event of further repair being required to your bicycle, you will be advised of the cost of repair before work is carried out. Because of our limited storage space and the high demand on our repair service, repaired bikes must be collected within 3 days.
PAYMENT METHODS AND DEPOSITS – We accept cash, credit card and PayPal payments. Goods are not released to the customer until non cash payments have cleared. We do do not offer a cash on delivery service. Preloved Bikes require a non refundable deposit on all pre-order goods including new bicycles. Unless otherwise agreed a deposit will hold an item for 10
days. All deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed and in writing.
All online and telephone payments are made through third party vendors such as PayPal, Stripe or Sum Up. No personal or payment information is stored, shared or used by Preloved Bikes.
BIKE TO WORK – Goods ordered under the bike to work scheme will not be released until payment is received. Should an item become out of stock at Preloved Bikes or our supplier during the processing of the Bike to Work application, an alternative item of same or similar value and specification will be offered. Unless a deposit is paid items will not be held until confirmation of payment or payment is received from your employer.
For safety and security purposes our premises is monitored by 24 hour monitored CCTV recording.
